Eurofins Lancaster Laboratories, a nationally recognized laboratory, is searching for a Senior Technician to support the Professional Scientific Staffing group Pilot Plant/Master Seed Ops Lincoln, NE



Senior Technician responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Operate, clean, and perform minor maintenance on equipment such as autoclaves, ultrasonic washers, equipment washers, and CIP/SIP stations, fermentors and filtration equipment
  • Secondary gowning and aseptic technique in support of seed, antigen, and vaccine production
  • Demonstrate reliability in attendance and punctuality
  • Comply with SOP’s and associated documentation necessary to perform job functions
  • Complete documentation including GMP documentation, timecards, order requisitions, and charting.
  • Perform operations and maintain compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s)
  • Clean areas according to specific SOP’s
  • Assist in maintaining adequate supplies in the areas
  • Demonstrate good interpersonal and communication skills within and outside the department using verbal, written, and non-verbal skills
  •  


  • The ideal candidate would possess:



    •Experience working in a Pilot Plant and Master Seed environment including equipment preparation and operation



    •Aseptic technique while working in a cleanroom environment.



    •Providing support in activities associated with bacterial and viral antigen production and vaccine formulation



    •Excellent oral and written communication skills. 



    •Computer skills required:  Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook

  • Ability to handle change (changing workloads).


  • •Good at multitasking with ability to work with deadlines



    •Self-starter, able to prioritize work and work efficiently with minimal supervision

  • Work environment: The person filling this position works in a BSL-2 laboratory.  There may be exposure to animal pathogens, chemicals, and bio hazardous materials.  There may be handling of, and/or exposure to, zoonotic organisms
  • Ability to work flexible hours including work week, weekend, holiday, and overtime


  • Basic Minimum Qualifications:

  • Educational background:  Associate’s degree and/or equivalent work experience.   Degree/work experience should be in a scientific discipline with emphasis in microbiology/biochemistry/medical technology, or related disciplines.


  • •Laboratory experience



    •Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship



    Position is full-time, Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m., with overtime as needed.  Candidates residing in Lincoln, NE are encouraged to apply.
