Liberty Mutual Personal Insurance IT is actively searching for a Principal Web Analytics Analyst.  Personal Insurance IT supports the Personal Insurance business unit which ranks #6 in personal auto and property premium, with nearly 5% market share.  We are a market leader in distribution capabilities, offering customers unrivaled access to our products and services through multiple channels.
Receives general direction and is competent to work at the highest level of analysis and design of web analytic designs, web analytic data models and web analytic conceptual & relational data definitions in support of corporate and client area information systems requirements. Provides technical guidance to staff. Directly responsible for the web analytics deliverables for multiple projects or subprojects of significant technical complexity. Leads the web analytics data deliverable portion of projects, including developing project plans, extracting data requirements for established and evolving business processes, assigning tasks and facilitating team. Performs data modeling studies and develops detailed web analytics data models. Works with Omniture and other vendors, business, and IT management and staff to establish and maintain consistent data element definitions and accurate, timely data collection processes across all computing environments. Creates and implements systems, technical and product standards and procedures.
 
  • Participates in the evaluation of complex business requirements.
  • Transforms common system requirements into conceptual data analytics models, according to architecture for shared and reusable services - designs are generic and of broad scope; models data solutions across projects according to architecture, technology and standards. Translates and combines enterprise business data models with web analytics data models.
  •  Identifies and consults on high complexity data structure and/or data content issues; designs effective web analytics data solutions. Define and classify web analytics data within pre-defined Omniture data base model. Provides detailed tagging instructions to Implementation Leads.
  • Depicts highly complex ideas, issues and data designs to varied audiences; communicates project web analytics objectives, scope and direction across project teams. Experience presenting to and solutioning with Architect, Management, and Sr Management audiences on all issues pertaining to web analytics.
  • Acts as principal project web analytics data architecture designer and reviewer for 1 or more project teams and makes major data architectural decisions; responsible for education within IT unit on all dimensions of web analytics architecture.
  • Coordinates web analytics changes within context of overall configuration management process.
  • Partners with application development team throughout project lifecycle, including during test phase; researches test issues and data content, and assists with problem resolution.
  •  Investigates and contributes to final recommendations on new tools and techniques; collaborates on hardware/software evaluations.
  •  Performs related duties as assigned or requested.
  • Experience designing and constructing solution designs within the Omniture/Adobe tool sets, including: Site Catalyst, Insights, Discover, and Genisis.
  • Critical role to span and bridge communications among app development, data management, marketing, and business analysis teams.
  • Must demonstrate ability to understand all of the data analytics data and how it may relate to issues, the app that generates them, and the reports the business creates from the data.
  • Job Requirements

    Qualifications:

    Bachelors or Master's degree in a technical or business discipline or equivalent expertise. Generally a minimum of 8 years related experience. Thorough knowledge in the following areas; IT concepts, strategies and methodologies, thorough knowledge of IT diverse technologies and new data architecture principles and concepts, thorough understanding of layered systems architectures and layered solutions and designs, business function(s) and IT industry business issues; extensive knowledge of business operations, strategies and objectives. Highly Proficient in SQL and DBMS languages and tools; ability to apply data management principles on multiple platforms. Requires Strong negotiation, facilitation, consensus building, and communication and presentation skills.
