The role of the Pharmacy Technician is to support and assist the Pharmacist in the medication use process. This employee assists in providing safe and efficient medication management/patient care to patients (neonate to geriatric) physicians, employees, and the public. This position requires taking responsibility within appropriate guidelines under the supervision of the pharmacist for medication preparation and distribution duties. The pharmacy technician functions in an environment which requires teamwork and flexibility to provide medications to patients. Responsibilities may include IV admixture, working with technology, and deliveries of medications.
Job RequirementsRequired
  • Registered Technician with KY Board of Pharmacy or eligible
  • minimum 6 months previous pharmacy experience
Desired
  • High school graduate or equivalent.; Completion of ASHP accredited pharmacy technician program
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT)
  • Demonstrated computer skills preferred.
