Job Description Manages spend categories, develops supply chain strategies, and leads contract negotiations for high risk, high complexity products and services. Works with key stakeholders to determine the long-term needs and applicable supply/service market strategies. Partners with business groups to issue/evaluate RFx and conduct reverse actions. Establishes supplier evaluation/selection criteria and coordinates supplier due diligence activities. Leads negotiation strategy development. Controls all aspects of negotiations and may customize legal language and draft non-standard contract terms and conditions to proactively address supply chain and business issues. Ensures compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Establishes e-business (procure-to-pay), diversity, environmental, and supply chain cost reduction strategies to continually improve category effectiveness and efficiencies. Uses experience, supply base knowledge, benchmarking data, and market conditions to determine appropriate supply-side and demand-side category levers. Acts as the primary liaison for current and potential suppliers; resolves systemic, recurring supplier & customer issues. Proactively identifies and escalates risk-related issues. Responsible for meeting all vendor management program requirements and policy compliance. Develops performance metrics and monitors supplier performance. Accountable for category savings targets, and performance measurements. Produces management reports and may train less experienced supply chain managers within the team. Use of this position requires approval by Corporate Finance.
Job Requirements* Basic Qualifications:
8+ years experience in supply chain and/or procurement.
