Job Description Security Clearance: Public Trust

Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field of study and 6 years experience in the job offered or as a Test Engineer, Database/Datawarehouse Engineer, Graduate Assistant or a related occupation. Employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field of study with 8 years experience in lieu of a Master’s degree and 6 years experience. Applicants must have demonstrated experience with Extracting, Transforming and Loading (ETL) Technologies: Informatica Power Center versions: 8.1, 8.6.1 and 9.1; Business Intelligence and Reporting Technologies: Cognos, Microstrategy versions 8 and 9; Databases Technologies: Oracle 9i, 10g and 11g, SQL, TOAD versions 9 and 11, SQL Developer; Scripting Technologies: UNIX, Putty, WinSCP; Test management and Defect Tracking Technologies: HP Quality Center, HP QTP; Configuration Management Technologies: MKS; and Document Management Technologies: MS Office, SharePoint are required.


Lockheed Martin Operations Support, Inc. seeks a Test Engineer Lead & Release Manager in Baltimore, MD to develop a testing strategy framework that is repeatable and re-usable to ensure the quality of code deliverables to the customer. Develop and document the testing strategy, plans and processes. Build quality manual testing processes to perform the full range of standard tests. Analyze testing results and provide feedback to continuously improve requirements, design and code development. Provide status of milestone deliverables. Mentor and guide junior resources to expand knowledge and grow skills. Provide testing labor estimates, make and monitor staff assignments within the testing team and set team priorities. Provide and monitor charge code guidance. Participate in management meetings to represent the testing team. Improve upon Quality Center as the tracking tool to gain efficiencies and improve documentation of change requests throughout the lifecycle. Develop an automated testing framework tied to requirements based testing to gain efficiencies in repeatable and regression testing. Release Management – Manage the software releases. Responsible for the progress of SDLC phases.
