    The Process Engineer Sr will be responsible for leading a group of Process Engineers to assess, develop, test, and implement changes across the technology platforms supporting the objectives of the Customer Support Division (Collections) within the Chase Card Services organization. This individual will need to independently perform analysis, and complete the necessary business documentation to support the rationale for implementing and validating complex changes to multiple CSD applications.
     
    The candidate shall independently:
  • Perform in-depth analysis, develop and recommend solutions, drive decisions from business concept to implementation
  • Prepare a comprehensive list of business requirements to support production changes
  • Be an active and engaged participant throughout all phases of the software development life cycle (SDLC)
  • Coordinate efforts with system analysts and IT developers to discuss technology/design solutions
  • Establish scorecard metrics to evaluate the health and quality of assigned processes and overall team performance
  • Communicate effectively with process owners and key business stakeholders
  • Take complete business ownership of the applications including troubleshooting and recommending solutions
  • Manage the application defects, enhancement, direction and overall health
  • Maintain comprehensive business and system documentation (requirements, trace, impact assessment, functional and/or technical specs, implementation plan, wellness-checks, etc)
  • Participate in test strategy to support delivery of complete and high-quality changes to the production environment
  • Demonstrate accountability and business process ownership to effectively manage overall heath and direction for workgroup and assigned processes
  • Provide direction in ambiguous situations
  • Lead team members across workgroups, departments, locations, or applications
  • Provide ongoing coaching and effective development/training plans to support employee development and growth
  • Provide direct supervision to a team of Process Engineers and analysts.  Tasks that include, but are not limited to goal setting, performance management, talent evaluation, delegation, task allocation, prioritizing assignments, maintaining morale, and development planning

    Job Requirements
    • Minimum education and experience required:  Bachelor's degree in one of the following - Industrial Engineering, Quality Management, Process Management, Production & Operations Management, Business Systems Analysis, Industrial Psychology, Business Management, Statistics, Economics, MIS - and typically 7 years of experience with complex business process design and continuous improvement efforts or equivalent combination of training and experience.
    • Past experience with credit card/collections objectives and business practices desired.
    • Experience with process analysis, design and management of products, process improvement, and services and activities including financial, customer, and operational performance measurement.
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills 
    • Experience working on and with geographically disperse teams
    • Ability to work with individuals at all levels of the organization 
    • Proven ability to work independently.  Strong decision making and excellent organizational/ time management skills.
    • Demonstrate excellent analytical and logical thinking with a continuous process improvement mindset.
    • Creative problem solver; ability to champion change and influence people to adopt new ways of performing work
    • Ability to design integrated business process/technology solutions
    • Demonstrated effectiveness in interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.  Able to succinctly communicate complex concepts and adjust delivery according to the audience across all levels of the organization
    • Detail oriented
    • Must possess willingness and ability to learn and apply new skills and knowledge on a continuous basis
    • SQL or SAS experience desired
