Requisition Title: Sr. EBS Apps DBA (EBS R12 Upgrade)

Location: Dallas, TX or Remote (USA)

Travel Percentage: 25%

Description: The Senior Oracle eBusiness Admin DBA position requires experience in all aspects of production and development support, project experience with R12 upgrades from 11i, database upgrades, and team leadership. The position requires a 4 year undergraduate degree, the ability to get a security clearance, on-call duties / scheduling, and the ability to work well on a diversified team. Profeciency is expected in at least one flavor of unix and RHE linux. Preference will be given for Oracle professional certifications, additional technologies such as Oracle Identity & Access Management, SOA, and other Fusion middleware, and experience with other Oracle enterprise products.


Qualifications

Education & Experience Required:

  • Four year degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Ten years experience as an Oracle Database Administrator with at least five years in Oracle eBusiness Suite, Release 11i and Release 12.
  • Experience with applications/tech stack/database upgrades, cloning, installations, patching, performance tuning and backups/recovery, enhancement promotion.
  • Experience in configuring/managing environments with failover/high availability requirements is a plus (load balancing, RAC, Streams, Mirrored Environments, disaster recovery.)
  • Proficient with instance/SQL/Application Performance optimization.
  • Oracle certification(s) preferred.
  • Ability to work and thrive as a senior member in a team environment.
  • Proficient in all aspects of 'system administration' functionality within eBusiness Suite working knowledge of RAC, Oracle Workflow, OAM, Notification Mailer.
  • Framework experience with high availability, multi-tier architecture with load balancer is a plus.
  • Experience in supporting 11i/R12 production and development instances.
  • Proven track record in delivering product enhancements & infrastructure solutions as well as strong project management expertise.
  • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of assigned technology and discipline area.

    • • Strong architecture background with various operating systems, hardware platforms, networking and storage platforms. Preference given for RHE linux and unix derrivatives.

    • Experience leading team of technical resources.

  • Must have participated in multiple implementations / upgrades.
  • Knowledge / experience with Oracle Identity & Access Management (OIAM) product suite is a big plus.
