Job Description Classification:  Accountant - Staff

Compensation:  $23.00 to $26.00 per hour

Corporate Tax Accountant needed for a dynamic and growing organization located in Oakland County. As the Corporate Tax Accountant, duties include Sales and Use tax compliance as well as personal property tax. The Tax Accountant will also be responsible for tax account reconciliation, cross review of returns and supporting both internal and external customers. Other duties include monthly General Ledger accounting reconciliation in both U.S. and Canada, prepare monthly journal entries, prepare and file personal property tax returns for Fixed Assets and other various special projects as needed.
Job Requirements3+ years experience working as a Tax Accountant specific with Sales & Use and Personal Property tax returns. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or related field is mandatory. Must have strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to handle various tasks simultaneously. Must have ability to prioritize workload to meet deadlines with strong attention to detail and accuracy. Advanced levels of Microsoft Excel such as V-Lookup, Pivot Tables and Macros is mandatory.
