Job Description Job Responsibilities:

Specific duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Navigate Centricity to retrieve and enter data into EMR, including discharges, patient education handouts and assigning documents.
  • Maintains working knowledge of common medications, including dosages, indications, Pharmacy Board reports, UDS and Oral swab reports. 
  • Entering charge codes, diagnosis codes and billing information per provider’s direction. Works with administrative billing department to ensure accurate documentation as expressed by provider. Troubleshoots data entry errors and corrects per provider.
  • Promotes customer service: ensures all contact with internal and external customers is pleasant, polite and professional.
  • Works with provider to ensure proper compliance to all regulatory bodies, and facilitates proper training of new hires and existing staff as needed.

  • Position Requirements:
    Job Requirements
    • High School Diploma or GED required; Certificate from College or Technical School required.
    • ABR-OE Certification in lieu of graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant Program required.
    • CPR Certification required.
    Physical Requirements:
    • The employee may be exposed to radioactive isotopes, ionizing radiation, and a strong magnetic field. May be exposed to radiation, blood/body fluids and infectious disease.
    • More than 50% of the time:
      • Sit, stand, walk.
      • Repetitive movement of hands, arms and legs.
      • See, speak and hear to be able to communicate with patients.
    • Less than 50% of the time:
      • Stoop, kneel or crawl.
      • Climb and balance.
      • Carry and lift (ability to move non-ambulatory patients from a sitting or lying position for transfer or to exam).
