Job Description Sodexo is seeking a Catering Manager 2 for University of Idaho campus account, in Moscow, ID. Great career growth opportunity with high volume catering and direct client interaction. Location has Resident Dining, Concessions, Catering, and multiple Retail venues serving approximately 12,000 student -campus community in a 'Best Value' performance based contract. Recently upgraded catering services brand (Flavours), equipment inventory, and vehicles. This position is responsible for the organization and execution of all catering events, management, mentoring and training of hourly employees. This twelve month position entails some weekends, late nights and holidays, based on account needs. The ideal candidate will:
  • Be well versed in catering, banquet management or food retail - restaurant industry, experience in casual and fine dining; high end or high volume catering.
  • Have superior organizational skills, strong marketing background to continue to promote the catering and retail growth.
  • Have previous upper management experience with multiple venues of Food Retail concepts.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills - Enjoy becoming involved in the campus community, have strengths in relationships with clients, customers, and employees.
  • Extremely strong customer service focus - ability to handle all last minute requests - 'No' is not an option...

    Manages all catered events. Hires, schedules, and trains catering staff. Works with clients/customers to arrange and follow through on all catering details and to ensure all special requests are met. Directs setup for events. Responsible for pricing, billing and resolving customer complaints. Develops menu/costing.

    Basic Education Requirement - High School Diploma or GED Basic Management Experience - 1 year Basic Functional Experience - 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.Sodexo will require a background check and may require a drug screen for this position.Sodexo is an EEO/AA/M/F/D/V employer.
