We are looking for a staff accountant to join our team!! This position reports to the Controller and will be based our of our Alpharetta office.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
• Includes the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Ensures the accuracy and timely reporting of accounting data and financial analysis.
• Supports the processes that assist managers in making strategic and operational decisions by delivering timely, accurate and relevant financial information.
• Reviews, analyzes and verifies various business transactions including revenue, expenses, and accruals.
• Prepares journal entries.

• Daily settlements and postings.

• Preparation of sales tax and property tax and business license returns
• Reviews monthly general ledger for accuracy and provides periodic updates, variance analysis and performance reports.
• Provides support with Annual Financial Audits, Contract Audits, and any additional audits as necessary.
• Performs a wide variety of special projects and data gathering functions as well as developing reports as necessary.
• Prepares specialized reports, analysis and financial models; presents results of analysis.
• Reviews month-end financial reports, constructs financial statements, provides variance analysis, researches financial irregularities, and uses the analysis to develop meaningful financial reporting.
• Coordinates and develops ad hoc analysis as required.
• Provides support to other Accounting Department staff, as required.

• Perform accounts payable and accounts receivable function as needed.
• Fixed Assets, Bank Reconciliations and other accounting functions.

• Process Weekly and monthly consignment

Job Requirements

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
• Excellent accounting, analytical, organizational and communication skills.
• Excellent computer skills required.  Proficiency in Excel is required.  SAP Experience a plus.
• Ability to operate with minimal direction and handle several projects simultaneously.
• Must be able to work well in changing and high pressure situations.

• Strong attention to detail

 

EDUCATION:
•Bachelor's degree in Accounting from four-year College or university required.

EXPERIENCE:
•1 to 2 years of experience required
