A mid sized Hillsboro software company has an immediate opening for a entry-level Software Engineer thats looking for a way to start their career as a c# developer! This is a great opportunity with an established company that is growing whose product deals with the Public Safety and Justice organizations. This Software Engineer is an integral member of the engineering team responsible for deployment, development and support of the CommandCAD product. The team is also responsible for project specific customizations to the baseline product.ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:Key member of a team that is responsible for engineering new features and functions as required by project and product specificationsProvide occasional on-site support to install, test, and troubleshoot CommandCAD softwareResponsible for providing project implementation supportProvides continued support and maintenance of CommandCAD systemsProgram in .NET/C#/CSolve technical problems and troubleshooting software and system difficultiesDevelop utilities and tools to aid in deployment and maintenanceDevelop software design documents, product and project software customizationsSupport responsibilities include after hours pager availabilityGenerate client specific software builds and support build testingMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:BA/BS degree in Computer Science or equivalentMicrosoft Windows programming experience in the development of Windows applications using C or C#Demonstrated proficiency at developing sound solutions to functional requirements, technical problems and troubleshooting software and system difficultiesSelf-motivated with the ability to effectively interact with all levels within the company as well as with high-level local government agenciesExcellent organizational skillsAbility to work independently, and function efficiently as part of a teamProgramming experience with Microsoft development tools including Visual Studio, C, C#, VB or VFPStrong attention to detailAbility to prioritize and multi-taskWorks reliablyExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to travel occasionallyPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Experience in a Public Safety computer environment is a plusFamiliar with SEI CMM Level 2 and 3 practicesExperienced in Object Oriented Analysis and Design (OOAD), Object Oriented Programming (OOP), and Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA)Experienced in TCP/IP network programmingExperienced in database schema design and the ability to design database structures to efficiently satisfy product needs
