Job Description Volt is partnered with our client in search of a .Net (C#, ASP) Developer for their Oak Brook office. Our client is one of the World's largest service club organization with community philanthropic groups all over the Globe. The company has users in over 200 countries, 11 languages, and is going through major improvements on their website for club members and users. The ideal candidate will be a .Net Developer who is currently using AJAX, C#, ASP.NET, and .Net 4.0 Framework within Visual Studio 2010 that can also participate at the web design level and will bring knowledge of current web development techniques and best practices to the team. This is an estimated 3-6 month temp to hire opportunity.•Consults with users to gather information about business application needs, objectives, functions, features and input and output requirements.•Analyze, define and document requirements for data, workflow, logical processes, interfaces with other systems.•Provide effort estimations on tasks and manages task schedules for assigned projects.•Lead or assist development projects as assigned by management taking ownership of the technical solution.•Design and develop business application components or solutions following best practices and patterns in software development.•Perform unit tests to ensure developed components meet requirements and are free of bugs.•Research errors and issues and provide technical assistance to users.•Recommend development and deployment standards, policies and/or procedures.•Produce training and resource material as necessary•Maintains professional and technical knowledge up-to-date.A bit about Volt: Volt has been serving some of the nation's strongest companies for over 60 years. Job Requirements-Proficient in .NET and Web Technology•Communication Skills (Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts in business terms)•Technical and Professional Knowledge (Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes and methodologies and web based application concepts)Education & Experience Requirements:•Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S) from a four-year college or university. (Area of study in information technology preferred)•Minimum of 5-7 years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience•Experience in system integration with enterprise applications and packaged systems.
