This position is responsible for the daily implementation of client care treatment and development plans / programs. The employee will provide care including one-on-one monitoring while serving as a member of the multi-disciplinary treatment team providing care and treatment that is appropriate to the ages and populations served, specifically children and adolescents
The dynamic direct support professional must demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide appropriate care, treatment, and services for the behavioral health needs of children and adolescents. Demonstrates knowledge of the individual needs, behaviors, and signs and symptoms of common mental disorders as well as an understanding of the principles of human growth and development over the lifespan. Uses these skills and knowledge to provide needed care and treatment to children and adolescents

2nd shift available (weekends required) starting rate: $11.00 per hour
Bachelor's Degree in Psychology or related field preferred.
Education: - High School Diploma required. Bachelors degree or progression toward a degree in Mental Health or Social Services preferred.
- One year or more experience in a mental health setting working with youth and adolescents preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Continuous walking, standing, sitting, fine hand- eye coordination. Ability to routinely perform light lifting up to 1-35 pounds, with occasional moderate lifting of 21-60 pounds. Occasionally lifts more than 61 lbs. Frequently pushes or pulls objects up to 60 lbs., with occasional pushing or puling objects over 61 lbs. Frequent bending/stooping or squatting and reaching above shoulder level. Actively participates in therapeutic intervention process. Often requires repetitive use of wrists/hands/legs. Rare climbing of stairs and ladders. Occasional driving automatic equipment/vehicles. Free of dependency an abuse of illegal drugs, alcohol inhalants or other chemical substances or controlled substances.
