Job Description

WFAA-TV, Dallas, Texas, an ABC Affiliate, is seeking a Producer/Director. The preferred candidate for this position will be responsible for directing live newscasts and local programming (live and/or recorded), promotional announcements, commercials, PSAs and other projects as assigned. This position will also act as online/offline editor on local programming and other productions as assigned.

You should also possess the following requirements:

  • Minimum of five (5) years directing live television news and programming in a major market
  • Minimum Two (2) years experience with control room automation (or compatible technology; Sony ELC preferred)
  • Must have technical expertise working with all phases of video production and post production, including Vertigo, CG and Sony XD News System.
  • Must have experience editing on non-linear systems (i.e. Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere) and with Adobe Photoshop (and/or compatible systems)
  • Must have experience with newsroom computers systems (ENPS Preferred) and ScheduALL booking system (or similar technology)
  • College degree in related field
  • Valid drivers license
