Job Description

Volt's Client, a large Multimedia eCommerce Company in downtown Seattle, is currently looking for a Mid-Level eCommerce Database Engineer. This role is responsible for the design and development of database scripts to maintain, enhance and migrate database/data for OLTP and data warehouse-based applications.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Developing and implementing scripts for data migrations.
  • Support and assist Software QA team to debug and resolve problem areas.
  • Develop DB scripts for automation and load utilities.
  • Support continued maintenance of Oracle schema, schema design and development for OLTP based application.
  • Work with Data Warehousing team to resolve data related issues.
  • Assist in the release process.

    • This is an estimated 6-12 month contingent/temporary position in Seattle, WA and offered through Volt Workforce Solutions which is located in Redmond, Washington.     Job Requirements

    eCommerce Database Engineer (Mid-Level Experience) Qualifications:

    • 4+ years experience with Oracle PL/SQL to develop stored procedures, functions, packages and triggers.
    • 3 years experience developing database solutions for eCommerce/OLTP based applications.
    • 2 years experience in developing database automation scripts using bash, ksh, Perl or Python.
    • Experience with Data Migration.
    • Good understanding of databases (Oracle/Teradata -OR- another RDBMS is a plus), data modeling for OLTP and possesses excellent SQL skills.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills; good verbal and written communication styles.
    Education:
    • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related.
    • Oracle Database Developer Certification.
