Job Description:
Candidate will provide system administration support to the program's production, test, and development Linux and Enterprise Storage Solution (ESS) system environments, which includes: system installation, configuration, troubleshooting, performance analysis, tuning, upgrading, patch maintenance, license management, system backup administration, user account/environment administration, implementing and maintaining system security postures, fibre attached storage partitioning and presentations, documentation, and assisting with hardware/software installations.
The candidate will follow standard processes; plan effectively to complete tasks on schedule, and clearly document processes and results.
The position is a daytime shift, but the candidate will also participate in a rotating 24x7 on-call operational support role.
This position is located at Offutt AFB, Nebraska.
Required Skills:
Applicant should be self-motivated, have a strong understanding of RedHat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and High Performance (HP) Linux operating systems, RHEL HA (high availability) Cluster management, RedHat Satellite Server (RHSS), RedHat Enterprise Virtualization (RHEV), HP and Dell Blade server chassis management, an understanding of networking/zoning to include VLAN/VSAN setup, RHEL and SELINUX security lockdown and configuration.
Candidate must have a Secret security clearance at a minimum.
Desired Skills:
Candidate must be able to obtain at least one of the following certifications: A+, Network+, Linux+, Security+, CCNA, or MCDST.
Storage Area Network (SAN) administration skills including Compellent and XP24000 storage would be a plus.
Required Education:
4 years experience with a Bachelors degree in an applicable technical area.
