Job Description Job Classification: Contract The chemical Operator is responsible for producing pharmaceutical products in accordance with cGMP procedures and SOP's. This includes but is not limited to lab scale and industrial/commerical scale synthesis. - Ability to utilize routine numerical information and perform calculations. - Familiar with routine chemistry techniques - Utilizes production equipment to carry out work and motivated by hands-on aspect of industry and mechanical aspects of job. - Understanding of theory behind methods. - Must be able to lift at least 80 pounds from the floor to chest level. - Carry at least 50 pounds up and down stairs and charge chemicals into a reactor. - Ability to use torque wrench and tools. - Maneuver drums of solvent up to 900 pounds with carts. - Conduct synthesis according to master batch records - Ascertain and react to dangerous conditions and chemical processes - Assist in lab scale synthesis projects - Adhere to documentation procedures as outlined in Standard Operating Procedures - Maintain and clean equipment - Wear appropriate safety clothing, glasses, shoes, respirator and other protective equipment.
