Job Description Job Classification: Contract They specialize in innovative solutions on how to move and circulate air. Our clients' products range from specialized HVAC applications used in critical industrial environments such as biotechnology and pharmaceuticals manufacturing, aerospace and hospitals, to the extremely demanding cleanrooms used in semiconductor manufacturing. Job Description Details: ? Responsible for welding metal components together to fabricate or repair products according to layouts, blueprints, or work orders, using a variety of arc and gas welding equipment. ? Welds metal parts together, using both gas welding or brazing and any combination of arc welding processes. ? Cuts metal using torch and following diagrams or sketches. ? Performs related tasks, such as plasma cutting and grinding. ? May be required to pass employer performance tests or standard tests to meet certification standards of governmental agencies or professional and technical associations. ? May operate the following: Shear, Chop Saw, Cutoff Saw, Die Grinder, Notcher, Drill Press, Grinder, Bandsaw, Forklift, and Iron Worker. ? Identify problems and potential solution by viewing drawings ? Set up work in a safe and efficient manner Qualifications: ? Able to read tape measure ? Able to read blueprints ? Must have knowledge of tools of the trade• Able to drive a forklift ? Able to lift 50 lbs ? Able to stand for prolonged periods on a concrete floor ? Able to work independently and with others ? Able to pass In house weld test * Blueprint reading * Weld test on quarter inch mild steel * Welding and Finish grinding on 1/16 galvanized sheetmetal * Set Machine * Test is timed Minimum 1-2 years total experience as MIG welder Hours: BE FLEXIBLE - COULD GO TO 12 hour shifts and mandatory Join Aerotek Commercial Staffing®.
