We are recruiting for a Business Analyst to join our  team in Louisville, KY.  This position is to ensure the operational efficacy and excellence of an organization.  The business analyst designs and documents work flow, manages and provides solutions to new business unit ideas, trends and concepts appropriately through the latest technological paths.  The business analyst understands the customer's business requirements and business process management and then translates them to particular software requirements.
 

Essential Functions:

  • Works with Formulary Manager and Utilization Management to create quarterly rebate submits
  • Works with Manager to create internal PharMerica reports for use in contract evaluations
  • Completes monthly internal financial analysis for Manager use to establish cost savings opportunities or formulary management positioning for the department
  • Development of performance and operational metrics and dashboards
  • Conducts product research at the direction of the Director of Manufacture Contracting and Vice President of Utilization Management to investigate specific utilization related issues and/or cost containment opportunities
  • Works under discretion of Manger with other corporate teams such as Operations, Sales, and Inventory Logistics to support analysis of financial impact to corporate P&L due to market factors or regulatory changes
  • Performs regular analysis to ensure data integrity within PMC/s reporting systems and performs ad hoc reporting as required
  • Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS/BA degree in Health/Business Administration, Finance, Computer Science or related field
  • Minimum of 2 years in data management/mining in managed care of finance
  • Minimum of 2 years experience with relational databases
  • 1-2 years in related field (pharmaceutical, insurance, managed care)
  • Extremely Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Access
