Job Description Job Classification: Contract Our client is looking for a SAS Developer for a 6 month contract. They are looking for someone with strong SAS programming skills in addition to strong Unix Scripting and SQL Scripting and Queries. Candidates will be running lists for specific marketing programs/customers. For example, they will be asked to pull the name, address, and date of birth for specific campaigns and then convert the file into information readable by the vendor and send it to them (this is simplified). Candidates must have credit card experience because they need to understand the data they pull to notice if there are inconsistencies because that could be indicative of an error. They will not be analyzing the data. This is done by the marketing analytics team. They need someone who can simply write SAS programs to pull specific data sets and lists. Overall, this team is looking to cut down their list pull time from about 18 hours to 8 hours and that is why they are looking for programmers and not analyst.
