Job Description JAWOOD is seeking a Application Developer Senior.

Top level technical expert in multiple specialized phases of application development. Working independently within guidelines, provides technical consulting on complex projects considering equipment capacity, limitations, operating time and desired results. Creates detailed technical designs and develops applications using existing and emerging technology platforms. Writes new systems or applications of high complexity and scope, utilizing standard procedures and techniques. Conducts analysis of organizational needs and goals for the development and implementation of application systems. Partners with business personnel to conduct analysis of organizational needs. May have senior quality assurance review responsibilities and duties including instructing, directing and reviewing work and responsibilities of other development team members. Extensive creativity required across areas of expertise. A high proficiency level in specific job related skills is required. Bachelor’s Degree in related field preferred. Minimum five (5) years related experience preferred.

SUMMARY:
The primary responsibilities of this position are application, development, maintenance and on call support. With general supervision, provides support to existing production applications; and, performs technical analysis, design, development and implementation of new applications using existing and emerging platforms.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides application analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, documentation, and integration.
- Supports business process, problem analysis and consultation
- Processes open defects or maintenance tickets and resolve technical issues
- Ensures application and promotion package documentation is current and complete
- Provides afterhours on call support.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree with a major in computer science, computer information systems or related field required.
- OR in lieu of a Bachelor-s degree an additional five (5) years of development/support experience in addition to the experience requirement listed below.
- Three (3) years experience working in a support/development environment required
- Informatica 9.x or higher experience required
- Business Objects XI knowledge required
- BRIO/Hyperion knowledge required
- SQL experience required
- Data mapping/conversion required.
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple project and timelines required.
- Good verbal and written communication skills required.
- Excellent problem solving skills required.
- Testing procedures including creation of unit test cases/scripts, test data and validation of results required.
- Understanding and following SDLC methodology required.
- Ability to ensure SDLC methodology is followed, including conducting code reviews required.
- Ability to create detailed technical design, code, test, debugs, document, and maintain applications required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Healthcare experience preferred
- Data Warehouse experience preferred
- Knowledge of FTP and HIPAA compliant ANSI formatted EDI transactions preferred.
- Ability to act as a liaison with business personnel to conduct analysis of organizational needs for development and modifications of new and existing applications preferred..
- Sybase databases including querying tools such as SQL Advantage preferred
- Oracle databases including querying tools such as SQL Developer preferred
- TWS batch scheduling tool preferred
- CA SCM preferred
- UNIX preferred
