Karma Automotive is currently seeking a Paint Manufacturing Process Engineer for our Moreno Valley plant. The KARMA Moreno Valley plant has a new, state of the art, paint system for painting automotive bodies and components with a clear, top, and a finished coat applications.

Job Requirements
  • Develop and manage schedules pertaining to process changes related to new model activity.
  • Strong knowledge of paint application process
  • Working knowledge of paint department processes and principles, including latest technologies
  • Work with equipment changes
  • PLC and Robot experience a plus
  • Manage gate activity and report on status as required
  • Lead Production and maintenance team members in robot teaching
  • Lead Production and maintenance team members on process changes
  • Lead members when working with Robot project team
  • Lead maintenance and production members when required
  • Lead major equipment modifications
  • Define project scope and manage projects
  • Ensure projects stay on schedule and report status on regular basis
  • Oversee major process changes
  • Manage design changes for all affected areas of Paint process
  • Ensure design changes meet requirements
  • Work with design to meet design requirements while ensure production needs are met
  • Resolve processing issues leading production pilot members in the resolution
  • Troubleshoot process related equipment issues
  • Develop equipment change strategies and timelines
  • Develop milestone management strategies to meet gate targets
  • Develop process change strategies and meet Operation Plan targets
  • Basic knowledge of PLC programming
  • Good analytical / problem-solving skills
  • Working knowledge of statistical analysis



  • Experience in Paint equipment installation in the areas of sealer and paint
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 4 years automotive manufacturing painting experience.
  • Good organizational and time management skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to manage multiple projects and priorities
  • Experience in New Model Introduction
  • Experience in paint and sealer robotic application equipment and processes
