Compensation: $50,727.99 to $62,000.00 per year

Robert Half Finance and Accounting is currently seeking a Controller/Accounting Manager for a growing client in the greater Lafayette, IN area. This position will be responsible for preparing and/or reviewing appropriate ledger entries and reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger system, preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and researching accounting issues for compliance with generally accepted accounting principles. Special emphasis will be placed on process improvement initiatives in the area of month-end close efficiencies. The Accounting Manager will also be responsible for hiring, training and supervising all accounting staff. Candidates should possess 5+ years of related experience, as well as strong communications, technology and analytical abilities. A Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance is required and advanced credentials such as a Masters of Business Administration / MBA or Certified Public Accountant / CPA are preferred.
