The role of the Diagnostic Imaging Assistant is to transport patients to and from the imaging departments. This position must demonstrate competence in transporting both inpatients and outpatients, finding patient information in the patient computer system, communication skills (telephone and in person), and patient exam room setup. The diagnostic imaging assistant must have a working knowledge of medical terminology, diagnostic imaging procedures/ protocols and a general knowledge of other procedures performed throughout the hospital.Performs clerical duties as assigned.
Job RequirementsRequired
  • Current CPR (BLS) certification required.
  • Typing and/or minimal computer skills.
  • Wheelchair, stretcher, patient bed, patient lifts, O² tanks, isolation precautions, infection control.Computer, multi line telephone, digitizing equipment, copier, fax machine
Desired
  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • One year general clerical skills.
  • Knowledge of PACS and Carelink software systems
