Gallup is looking for full-time Software Developers (entry level to lead developer) to join our growing IT team. Gallup Software Developers have an opportunity to utilize their talents in a variety of software development areas including Applications, Mobile/Web technology, and Quality Assurance. Ideal candidates will be working towards a degree in computer science or an IT related major. Following are the field specific expectations:
Applications
Experience/development in, one or more of the following: • Object-Oriented Design (OOD) skills or SQL programming • Java, PL/SQL, ASP.net, C#, MVC or VB.net • JDeveloper, Eclipse or Visual Studio • Oracle Applications Development Framework (ADF)or Java Server Faces (JSF) • Relational or multi-dimensional database environments • Oracle DB, Microsoft SQL or MySQL • Debugging Web browsers
Mobile/Web
Experience/development in, one or more of the following: • Responsive design and mobile web technologies (HTML/CSS/Javascript/JQuery/AJAX) • Native app technologies (iOS Objective C/Android Java) • Understanding of XML • Scripting languages (Python, Perl, Ruby, etc.) • Programming tools JDeveloper, Eclipse or Visual Studio.net • Debugging Web browsers
Quality Assurance
Experience/development in one or more of the following
• Automated Testing using JMeter or other open source related tools (Selenium & PERL automation is a plus) • AJAX, XML, SOA, J2EE • Write code, test scripts and SQL queries to analyze and test project deliverables to ensure that business and technical requirements are being met • Develop and execute automated regression, performance and stress tests for each major software release (VS2010 and/or Test Manager a plus) • Experience working with quality assurance testing methodologies, systems, processes, and standards
