Job Description

Performs as part of a team that manages a centralized Reliability Standards Compliance monitoring and reporting process to assure Seminole's auditable compliance with NERC & FRCC standards as well as FERC Standards of Conduct. Communicates with subject matter experts, management, and outside consultants regarding NERC Reliability Standards. Coordinates established balloting process for new and revised NERC Reliability Standards. Participates in the coordination of requests with regional regulatory agencies and internal departments to ensure compliance issues are addressed in a timely manner. The ultimate goal is to ensure Seminole as a whole, is complying with all compliance guidelines and regulations set forth by regulatory agencies.

A Bachelor's degree in engineering or applicable equivalent electric power training and project management experience. Alternately, a Bachelors degree with an emphasis in auditing or corporate risk management. May substitute two years of experience for each year of academics.

Five (5) years of experience in Auditing, Risk Management, or Engineering, three (3) years of which is regulatory compliance and/or specific subject matter experience. Accelerated experience in the NERC, FERC, and FRCC compliance & auditing requirements preferred. Experience with Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) standards desired.


Skills and

Must acquire and maintain a thorough understanding of the NERC Reliability Standards and be familiar with the NERC Rules of Procedure associated with Reliability Standards development, compliance, and enforcement. Must remain current with all NERC, FERC, and FRCC compliance regulations. Must acquire and maintain knowledge with the technical terminology used in reliability standards. Must apply the concept of strong internal controls to NERC compliance. Must have strong organizational skills, as well as strong written and verbal communication skills.


Traditional office working conditions. Travel may be required to offsite locations. Overtime may be require as department needs progress.
