Job Description Overview: Bloomingdale's is seeking a highly creative individual to join our Visual team . As a Visual Merchandiser, you help create the customer's first impression of Bloomingdale's. Your responsibilities will include setting up the floor displays, cosmetic displays and mannequin presentation to tell a "merchandise story", reflect a trend or simply entice the customer to buy. If you have a natural finesse for color, balance and composition, we would really like to meet you. Key Accountabilities: - Setting and maintaining mannequins and all visual displays - Producing novel and unique concepts for merchandise presentation - Producing quality work in a consistent, timely and organized manner - Completing projects on time and being responsible for the project from start to finish - Understanding and upholding Bloomingdale's high standards of presentation as they apply to merchandising the selling floor - Housekeeping - Caring for department's tools, supplies, workshop and merchandise - Maintaining a clean and organized work area - Working in a safe manner with minimum disruption to the selling process Skills Summary: - Fashion display background - Creative and have strong experience in retail merchandising in ready-to-wear or home - Related experience in retail, design or fashion is desirable - Highly organized - Excellent communication skills - Proactive self-starter - Flexibility with schedule, dependent upon business needs Bloomingdale's is an Equal Opportunity Employer, committed to a diverse and inclusive work environment.
