Compensation:  $35.62 to $41.25 per hour

The cost consultant will be responsible for: Developing, implementing and monitoring cost control system and procedures. Evaluating and ensuring accuracy of cost of sales and related variances. Providing appropriate valuations of all inventories. Developing and providing oversight for plant costing activities including material, labor and overhead standards. Gathering, compiling and analyzing sales, material, labor and overhead information to be used in annual budgets and periodic forecasts. Analyzing changes in product design, raw materials and manufacturing methods to determine effects on cost and recommend alternatives as appropriate. Updating product costs during annual cost roll and throughout year where needed. Analyzing purchase price variance and prepare reports for purchasing departments with recommendations. Analyzing manufacturing variances and preparing reports for operations/continuous improvement with recommendations. Performing cost analyses and developing models for special projects including free cash flow analysis. Providing management reports analyzing drivers impacting profitability of products and processes. Participating with various departments in economic decisions (make vs buy; minimum order, standardization and improvements, etc) to improve profitability. Providing cost support for quoting equipment, service and parts. Assisting parts department with the creation of customer price lists.
