Volt Workforce Solutions has a temp-to-hire opportunity available in Kansas City, MO for a Programmer Analyst to work as part of a small, collaborative, tight-knit team.Position Description:

The purpose of the Programmer Analyst position is to develop new applications, modules and interfaces, as well as enhance existing applications. The primary duties of this position are application-based. The environment is a cube farm that is relaxed and friendly.

The right candidate in this position will have the ability to manage a project from Requirements Gathering to going live.Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Review, analyze and modify Programming systems, including Encoding, Testing, Debugging and Documenting programs.
  • Create documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance.
  • Work with C#, .Net and SQL.
  • Interface with Users, IT Operations, Programming Manager and VP/General Manager to define system requirements and/or make necessary modifications.
  • Assist with Development Support of core applications.
  • Carry a pager on a rotating basis.

    Job Requirements

    Required Skills for this Programmer Analyst position include the following:

    • Must have a Bachelor's Degree in a related field
    • Must have 3-5 years of IT Programming experience
    • Should be experienced with SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services)
    • C#, .Net and SQL skill and experience required
    • HTML, ASP.Net and JavaScript strongly preferred
    • Demonstrated ability to visually represent System Designs using Visio

    Soft Skills/Experience/Knowledge:

    • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to learn new systems
    • Must be self-driven and results-oriented, with a clear focus on high quality results
    • Displays teamwork and a positive attitude
    • Shows ability to communicate on all levels (i.e. Entry-Level through Executive)
    • Demonstrated strong Consensus Building skills
