Job Description Kokomo, Indiana is an award winning community with a rich heritage and history of technological discoveries. The Greater Kokomo Economic Development Alliance is the Lead Economic Development Organization and marketing arm for the Kokomo Howard County community. The Alliance offers a comprehensive approach to delivering collaborative services that meet the needs of prospective businesses, existing business, entrepreneurs, and community partners.As President/CEO of the Alliance, you will be the face and spokesperson for the alliance. Your primary role will be to provide leadership to the organizations encompassing the Alliance. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Strategic planningImplement and drive the initiates to fulfill the vision of the AllianceOrganization managementProspect management and interfaceDevelop and manage excellent:Investor relationsCommunity and partner relationsRelationships with existing businessesRequirements:Must be a self starter.Ability to apply metrics to measure and track performance.Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) from a four-year college or university in a field relevant to economic development, i.e. economic development, business administration, marketing, finance, public administration, planning, urban or rural development, or geography. M.S. /M.B.A. is preferred.Incumbent must possess at least five years of relevant leadership experienceDemonstrated experience in membership development and fundraising and in developing, monitoring and managing a budget of over $1M.A valid Indiana driver's license and U.S. Passport.Must live in or relocate to Howard County within 6 months of joining the organization.A minimum of three years executive experience running a municipal, county, or regional economic development organization is desired.A Certified Economic Developer (CEcD) designation is desired.Benefits include:Competitive salaryAttractive benefit packageRelocation assistanceStrong resourceful board
