Job Description Responsibilities: Our client is seeking a Solutions Architect for their Detroit, Michigan (MI) location. The Solutions Architect serves as the technical expert in application and/or business architecture for software development / infrastructure teams. This position acts as SME for project teams in the plan, design, and delivery of IT solutions. In application architecture: designs the inter-system/application structures, advises teams of company standard requirements, security standards, methodology and processes. In business architecture: defines cross-business function processes, advises teams of consistent processes and common business functions. The position drives short and long term architecture strategy for the overall IT project portfolio for key business segments. The position participates in proof of concepts to assist in defining technology direction and process improvement to enable business strategy. This position communicates and validates program architecture with the Chief Architect, Program / Project Manager, executive level stakeholders and Enterprise Architects.Level Scope: Uses a broad and deep understanding of business and/or technical concepts in multiple specialized fields to develop solutions to problems and design issues. Work assignments are typically focused on key products for the organization. This position may manage relationships with suppliers/vendors and/or business partners.Kforce Inc. Job RequirementsThe following skills, knowledge and experience are required for this position unless noted otherwise:

BS and 6 + years or equivalent
Knowledge of standards in IT architecture and infrastructure
Ability to develop enterprise guidelines and standards
Knowledge of the software development process and how it fits within the IT architecture and infrastructure
Knowledge and understanding of industry trends and new technologies and ability to apply trends to architectural needs * Knowledge of enterprise platforms and operating systems or knowledge of key business functions and processes
Ability to interact with and provide architectural design guidance to project teams made up of employee and/or supplier resources
Works with a long-term perspective in addressing customer problems
Identifies and acts on ways to streamline resources to make things better for the customer
May trade off immediate costs for the sake of the long-term relationship, seeks to add value and looks for the long-term benefits for the customer
