Job Description Classification:  Accounting - Medical

Compensation:  $13.00 to $15.00 per hour

A growing Cincinnati Health Care company is in need of an experienced Medical Collector for a temporary to full-time role. You will be collecting from individuals as well as insurance providers to obtain payments on in-home care and specialized care provided by the company. Experience in both Medical Billing to Medicare/Medicaid as well as collections experience is strongly preferred. Responsibilities include: entering patient billing data into the information system. Accurately processing bills to Medicare, Medicaid, private payer and patient claims in accordance with payer requirements and the organizations policy. Assisting in the preparation of monthly billing and accounts receivable aging reports. Maintaining accurate Medicare and Medicaid billing reports. You will also prepare Medicare, Medicaid, private payer and patient remittances for entry. You will perform out-bound collections activities such as phone calls and emails to collect on the receivables and then resubmit bills to overdue accounts, alerting the manager of seriously overdue accounts when appropriate. You will be asked to maintain the confidentiality of client and agency information at all times. You will also be performing other specific projects relating to billing, data entry, and computer operations as required.
