Job Description

Job Summary: 

Under the direction of the Clinical Coordinator and/or Nursing Unit Director, performs nursing patient care duties for the assigned unit.  May float or provide assistance to other nursing units as credentialed.  Facilitate individualized, goal-directed nursing care through use of the nursing process and the principles of primary nursing in accordance with departmental and hospital policies and procedures.

Qualification Requirements:

Minimum Education:

  • Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN).
  • Minimum Experience:

  • One (1) year of hospital based patient care experience as a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Licensure/Certification(s):

  • Valid licensure or eligible for licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Georgia.
  • Current certification through the American Heart Association to provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of managed and direct care methods.
  • Problems solving skills and the ability to assess a situation and take the correct course of action.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
  • Strong clinical assessment skills, and the ability to provide the appropriate care.
  • Ability to provide the required attention and care to multiple patients.
  • Ability to plan and manage care appropriately.
  • Ability to uphold a strong continuum of care.
  • Ability to maintain a mind-set of continuous learning.
