Job Description The Account Manager is responsible for meeting and exceeding individual sales budget and territory growth goals, while providing outstanding value and service to Direct Supply customers. Account Managers possess a desire to drive our business and directly contribute to Direct Supply’s bottom-line growth and future development.

Essential Job Functions and Leadership Responsibilities:

  1. Consistently meet company standards in sales and territory growth.
  2. Manage all aspects of a territory of Long Term Care facilities, including regular phone contact, service, sales, quoting and prospecting.
  3. Maintain continuous customer contact and develop long-term buying relationships with individual customers and with facilities.
  4. Develop a strong understanding of Direct Supply products and services.
  5. Understand the operations of a health care facility including: budgeting process, state survey process, department roles and responsibilities, resident profiles, levels of care, and the decision-making process.
  6. Make effective use of all selling tools, systems, and technology.
  7. Coordinate with internal departments to respond quickly to customer needs, requests and problems.
  8. Maintain high degree of sales ethics.
  9. Devote necessary time and effort to achieve professional sales competence.
  10. Support the Direct Supply Vision and portray a positive can-do attitude to customers and fellow employees.

Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree required, or significant industry or related experience
  2. Previous sales experience
  3. Track record of success
