Job Description

IOD Incorporated is seeking a CPC 2nd shift Team Lead to join our team!  A CPC 2nd shift Team Lead for IOD Incorporated will assist the Processing Manager with all aspects of running a smooth and efficient operation in the Processing department.  A CPC 2nd shift Team Lead will oversee and train employees in the processing department in various job functions as well as assist,  prepare and/or monitor workflow, quality and production.

 Essential Functions:

  • Employee Relations
  • Responsible for upholding security and confidentiality regulations, company policies and procedures.
  • Maintaining a high level of professionalism and good rapport with IOD staff members
  • Perform quality reviews and assist in evaluations of employees
  • Responsible for training and orientation of employees in company, facility and region specific functions.
  • Participate in personnel counseling sessions and make probationary or termination recommendations when necessary.
  • Answers day to day questions posed by employee, clients and requesters.
  • CPC Workflow:
  • Report and make recommendations to manager regarding workflow, quality, productions and methods to increase productivity and performance issues.
  • Distribute workflow to processing personnel.
  • Position is the subject matter expert of the department to ensure work is performed in accordance with departmental and IOD policies and procedures.
  • Check each set of records to ensure that proper information has been copied and protected health information has not been inappropriately released.
  • Monitors PRISM work queues.
  • Learning the various job functions to assist when needed.
  • Job RequirementsConsideration for the role of CPC Supervisor requires all of the following:

    •      A High School Diploma or GED is required. Must be able to communicate effectively in the English language. Experience in a medical records or health care setting would be beneficial. Medical Terminology class is strongly encouraged.

    •      2 years processing experience

    •      Passing annual Introductory HIPAA and Advanced HIPAA examination. (Testing to be given annually in accordance with employee review.)
