Position Purpose:
  • Responsible to plan, develop, and implement quality programs, procedures, and systems using statistical analyses, lean manufacturing concepts, six sigma tools and analyses as applicable; review, analyze and report on process discrepancies, develop and implement best practices for standardization and excellence; ensure that performance and quality products conform to established company and regulatory standards. Responsible for supporting the implementation and maintenance of the document control system.


  • Major Responsibilities:
  • Define, specify, and/or approve of the implementation of standards, methods, and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating the precision, accuracy and reliability of company products
    Review engineering designs to assure consideration for and compliance with Quality Assurance requirements and considerations
  • Review, analyze and report on quality discrepancies related to assembly, processes or systems
    Provide validation support for product, processes, packaging, software and sterilization during new product development; develop inspection plans and procedures
  • Conduct product and process failure analysis (FMEA)
  • Maintain Technical file documentation
  • Complaint/CAPA Activities:
    o Failure analysis associated with the complaint management system, including documentation of failures, cause of failures, and identification of corrective actions
    o Support MDR investigations and filings, communication of complaint investigation to Sales Rep/Customers, internal regulatory and quality audits, and complaint trend analyses are completed and evaluated in accordance with regulatory requirements
    Investigate problems, propose improvement options, make recommendations, implement corrective action solutions and track progress
  • Assist customers in resolving product issues through complaint investigation, design improvements, special orders or customer training
  • Supplier Controls
    o Assist vendors in establishing inspection standards to meet the companys quality requirements
    o Liaise with Suppliers for all Supplier Corrective Actions
    o Conduct Supplier audits as required
    o Work with supplier/partners as necessary to ensure contract manufactured products continue to meet specifications


  • Experience and Education
    Bachelors Degree required in Engineering or related field, required
