Job Description Supervises the staff of the Respiratory Care department at Mercy Children's Hospital; which includes evaluations and counseling. Assists in the planning, coordination, implementation and evaluation of the operations and patient care of designated areas. Serves as a clinical resource for coworkers, patients and visitors. Oversees the function of equipment and maintains stock of supplies. Explores new technology and initiates when appropriate. Assumes managerial duties as delegated by the Manager/Director. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and mercy service standards.Minimum QualificationsEducation: Completion of an approved Respiratory ProgramExperience: Five years of respiratory experience required with neonatal and/or pediatric experience.Licensure: Must have License as a Respiratory Care Practitioner.Certifications: Registered Respiratory Therapist certification required.Preferred QualificationsEducation: Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Care or related field preferred.Experience: One year of supervisory or management experience strongly preferred.
