Job Description Healthgrades, located in Denver, Colorado, is America's most trusted, independent source of physician information and hospital quality outcomes.

The User Interface Developer will collaborate with designers, developers and product managers to ensure a consistent, engaging interface that creates a strong brand impression and ensures a high return from ad-supported and report based revenues.  This professional will participate in the development and testing of products and associated interfaces for the company’s core web properties and licensed widgets, applications and mobile interfaces.

Responsibilities:

  • Create functional user interfaces based on designs/mockups.
  • Implement creative concepts across multiple browser platforms adhering to web standards.
  • Create prototypes to test new products and act as a communication tool for stakeholders.
  • Be up-to-date with the latest trends in web development, design, accessibility and SEO.
  • Ensure a consistent user experience & look and feel for Healthgrades.com.
  • Estimation of project requirements and timeframes.
  • Work with the product and broader agile teams to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Actively contribute to a culture of communication, collaboration and creativity.

    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Excellent HTML, CSS, DHTML and JavaScript skills and an outstanding portfolio of interactive projects.
  • Ability to implement AJAX and other emerging technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of W3C web standards and accepted best practices.
  • Ability to develop cross-browser/platform compatible solutions (IE, Firefox, Safari, Chrome, etc.).
  • Knowledge of best practices for SEO.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and dedication to quality.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to listen and articulate ideas and designs.
  • Work collaboratively with other developers, designers and product managers.
  • Be proactive and organized, act effectively under deadlines, and manage concurrent projects.
  • Ability to take direction from multiple stakeholders regarding business needs.
  • Experience with .NET agile teams a big plus.

    Job Requirements

    Experience, Education & Qualifications:

    • 5+ years of experience in front-end web development.
    • A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Mathematics, or related science field is required.
